I like the concept of “dying empty”.
I came across this concept in one of the late great Myles Munroe’s books. He stated that a man or woman must die empty, that is, he or she must not go to the grave full of ideas or messages that have either not been shared or implemented during their lifetime.
He said that, in this respect, the graveyard is the richest place on earth because in it lie great ideas that had not found full expression in this life. If these ideas had been implemented, they would have made the earth richer than it is.
Those of us who possess the gift to teach can be said to “die full” when we fail to impart to others the knowledge and information in our possession. To die empty, we must ensure that we share every worthy idea or lesson that we have.
There are many ways in which we can share information and ideas. For writers like me, the best way is to communicate the information in a written form. This way, even after we have departed from this earth, the message will continue to reach many willing learners.
I consider this website as one effective method of sharing my written thoughts and ideas with the world.
You may wish to ask whether I have some special message to share with the world. I do not believe that I have anything new or special to share. However, I believe that just as every person possesses unique fingerprints, every person’s perception of life is unique.
I have experiences – good and bad – that span a period of more than 60 years. I have learnt many lessons from them. As a result of my experiences, I have arrived at certain conclusions and observations about life. Knowing that there are people who will benefit from what I have to say, I would like to say it before I die. I would like to die empty.
Welcome to my blogs and write-ups.
